Building on a three year relationship in Washagamis Bay of community engagement, architectural education, and training facility development, I had the opportunity of working with community to develop a new set of SIP housing for their community, with my newly incorporated design studio.

Together with community members, local builders, and SIP manufacturers, we developed a housing model grounded in local priorities, and long-term sustainability. The design focused on simplicity, durability, thermal performance, with construction methods to support hands-on community involvement.

Our goal was to structure the process in a way that supported capacity building, local employment, and meaninful collaboration. This included aligning the project with ongoing carpentry and trades training efforts, and ensuring the project remained adaptable to future growth and self-determined development.
