The space you make something in becomes a part of the things that you make. Thats why I love it when my tinkering spaces feel like explosions of the things that inspire me. 

For the time I lived in Winnipeg, I repurposed our "office room" as a four season maker space. This little shoplet became the host to hundreds of projects, big and small. It adapted from pottery studio, to carpentry shop, to digital fabrication lab, to kombucha brewery. 

The fun part of using a 9'x11' swiss army shop is trying to keep things organized and clean. 3D modelling all the major components and sorting them around digitally certainly helps, but at a point you have to settle somewhere between being organizationally disciplined and embracing the chaos of a shop space.
